Macramé star

Macramé has been trendy so many times that the meditative knotting technique can really be considered a classic. Maybe macramé comes back into vogue time and again because it allows you to start again any time, it’s straightforward, and it only requires a few accessories and very little previous experience. We came up with a lovely macramé star to decorate our Christmas Roses. It stands out for its natural charm and goes well with the boho or retro decorative style.

MATERIAL MATERIAL

twigs, wire (golden-coloured wire matches the natural shades of the macramé cord particularly well), macramé cord (available in various colours), scissors, secateurs, hot glue gun
STEP 1 STEP 1

Use the secateurs to cut ten equal lengths of twigs and tie the ends of two pieces each together with wire. Make sure to tie the twigs all in the same angle
STEP 2 STEP 2

Join and hot-glue the five prongs to make a star.
STEP 3 STEP 3

Cut the macramé cord into pieces 10 cm to 15 cm long and tie them to the star-shaped frame with the fringes pointing outwards until the whole lengths of the twigs are fully covered with knots.
FINISHED! FINISHED!

Trim the fringes all to the same length and smoothen. Add a loop in the macramé cord to hang up the star and you're done!
