  • Step 1 Chrystal clear

Fill a large clear lantern with pieces of common moss to completely cover the bottom and the bottom third of the sides of the glass. Leave sufficient space in the centre for a leafless Christmas Rose in its pot.

    Step 2 Chrystal clear

Place the leafless Christmas Rose in the nest of moss, adding some more moss along the sides as needed.

    Step 3 Chrystal clear

Push some pieces of bark between the glass sides and the moss filling so that the bark pieces overlap and hide the pot completely. In cylindrical glasses, this arrangement evokes the association of a tree trunk.

    Step 4 Chrystal clear

Since bark is a natural product, the pieces are normally very non-uniform. This may cause gaps to form through which you can see the pot. You can fill these gaps by adding fir sprigs between bar, moss and glass sides.

    Step 5 Chrystal clear

Even combined with natural materials, glass can be perceived as fairly cool. This effect can be intentional and goes very well with the Christmas Rose. To give the lantern a cosier winter look and charm, follow the "Hygge" trend and hot-glue a narrow strip of felt around it.

    The result Chrystal clear

Chrystal clear and winterly decorative: this flower decoration adds highlights to sideboards, festive tables and coffee tables alike, even without the light of a candle.
