People who love the classic pure white colour of Christmas Rose flowers often go for quite plain, classic options when it comes to decorating. This floral decoration with Christmas Roses is just right for the minimalists among you. In a solo performance, perfectly plain in a white, beautifully shaped ceramic planter, with few "ingredients" and no frills, the classic beauty of the Christmas Rose shows off to best effect.
Fill a shallow white ceramic planter with potting soil for B&B plants from your favourite garden centre.
Remove the Christmas Rose from its pot and place in the centre of the ceramic planter. About one third of the root ball should sit above the rim of the planter. Fill the planter with soil and heap up to a small mound all the way up to the root ball.
Cover the mound with moss and mould to a nice shape. If you choose a larger ceramic planter, you can also use ball moss instead of sphagnum moss to shape a mound.
Place occasional house leek rosettes on the moss bed.
You may want to top the arrangement off with larch twigs that you bend around the Christmas Rose and stick into the soil to create a wintry background.
