When other plants are already fading and trees shedding their leaves, the variety Early Rose from the Ice N' Roses® series only just starts its long-lasting flowering period. As early as late autumn, it delights the eye with an abundance of rose flowers, which makes it ideal for a floral greeting at the front door, on balconies or terraces. Combined with ivy (Hedera helix), shrubby veronica (Hebe x andersonii), heather (Calluna vulgaris) and wire netting bush (Corokia cotoneaster), our Early Rose arrangement displays one of the most beautiful options to create hardy container plantings.

Choose a container that is deep enough to accommodate the root ball with a sufficiently thick layer of growing medium on top.

We chose a green glazed earthenware container that attractively showcases the gloss of the Snow Rose foliage and colour of the Ice N‘ Roses® Early Rose flowers. Other colours, such as shades of pink or purple, would also work well. To ensure you can enjoy the decorative planting at the entrance door for a long time, you want to choose a thick-walled crack-proof earthenware container. Fill the growing medium directly into the container.

Remove the Snow Rose from the pot and place right in the centre where its flowers are guaranteed to catch the eye.

Arrange the lower-growing companion plants around the Ice N‘ Roses® Early Rose, setting the stage for its winter flowers.

You may want to use some moss to fill any gaps left between the plants, covering any growing medium that is still visible and creating a tight oval form like the shape of the bowl itself.

Randomly adding a few twigs or pieces of bark will soften the compact look.

Ice N‘ Roses® Early Rose flowers unfailingly well into April, with its companion plants providing an attractive fresh green backdrop. A beautiful floral greeting in the dark time of year.
