HGC® Winter Ballet®
Leona

Helleborus x lemperii

The name Leona comes from the Latin leo for “lion”. It goes perfectly with this H. x lemperii variety because the large, dark red and upright flowers stand gracefully on sturdy stems. Winter Ballet® Leona blooms from the beginning of December and accompanies us through the Christmas season and into spring. Suitable companion plants are evergreen perennials and small conifers, which, like the compactly growing Leona, thrive in light shade.
